Corporate Marketing & Hospitality in Russia

The Corporate travel sector in Russia accounts for less than 20% of the total number of trips abroad by Russians. However it is estimated that the value is 55-60% of the total market, that is approximately $.6 billion!

The Corporate, Meetings and Incentive market is difficult to identify and penetrate due to Russian corporate reluctance to show wealth and maintain secrecy.

Corporate Business in Russia is vast with busy executives travelling extensively, Governmental and Business delegations and the growing Conference, Meeting and Incentive segment.

Hotel Chains and Companies keen to establish themselves in this lucrative market often come against a brick wall in their endeavours. The foreign companies in Moscow are easy to contact due to many excellent trade organisations, however the results are generally negligible as this sector travels little. The true potential of the market is from the Russian Companies.

Few have been successful in penetrating this sector for many reasons especially as the Directors responsible are extremely difficult to approach. Yet amongst themselves top Russian Business Directors are surprisingly relaxed and approachable with a great deal of high level networking taking place in relaxed social events.

One of the best opportunities to meet with high level business people on their home ground is at the Kremlin Tennis Cup which is held in Moscow at the end of September. Tennis has traditionally been one of our most important sports, for many reasons, and this tradition continues today with the Kremlin Cup attracting high level executives and famous personalities to most days of the tournament.

Extensive Corporate Hospitality opportunities exist at this elite event. International Companies looking to 'reward' their Russian clients or to impress prospective partners, would do well to consider inviting their clients to this event especially as it is a tournament that most business people in Moscow want to attend.

It is important to appreciate the mentality of our Corporate Leaders and by inviting them to such an event shows your understanding of their market place. There are excellent Corporate Hospitality packages prepared by experienced experts to be found at www.tennisrussia.com

Svetlana Andryukina is the President of ForwardPR a specialised Public Relations & Marketing company based in Moscow. Direct contacts to the Kremlin Cup are available though their website www.tennisrussia.com and any PR requests can be directed to Ms. Andryukina at sales@forwardpr.ru or through the ForwardPR website at www.ForwardPR.ru
