UITT 2004. The exhibition in Kiev

The UITT 2004 exhibition took place 31 March to 03 April. Now in its second year in the new International Exhibition Centre the exhibition continues to expand.

It was interesting to note the size and strength of the Turkish stands and the interest around them. Previously it had always been the Ukrainian stands that were the largest but now Turkish companies have surpassed this.

Originally created in 1994 the Kiev exhibition was originally organised by Ukrainian companies in the Kievsky Dom, previously the Lenin Museum! The first exhibitions were small, friendly and very effective. UITT was actually created when the local organisers and ITE were brought together to operate just one exhibition in the Spring rather that 2 competing events. Celebrating 10 years of UITT was rather presumptuous but mostly uncontested as there were very few International exhibitors in the early days of Ukrainian tourism.

Unfortunately no figures have to date been published but the organisers were anticipating 500 exhibiting companies from 35 countries and 35,000 visitors.
