Magazine advertising in Russia
We are often contacted by tourism professionals asking for information on the vast array of Russian travel magazines. Which is effective for advertising and from which publication should they invite journalists to visit to make country reports.
It is difficult to answer. The Russian travel trade press has become much more sophisticated over the years but remains trade orientated and follows rather conservative paths.
The public sector is covered by several high quality, glossy magazines. These are well produced but print runs are often exaggerated and distribution coverage remains erratic.
A new magazine is now in production that aims to combine the technical details required by the Travel Trade and the need to advertise the general public.
International Leisure World Magazine will bring together many years experience in Russian tourism and supplies an opportunity for International suppliers to deliver their sales presentations direct to the public. It has long been noted that publicity campaigns directed to the public will drive business into the travel trade.
International Leisure World Magazine intends to follow on the success of it's sister publication, International Residence (specialising in International Real Estate) and will target the up-market and elite sector of the market. Advertisers will have the opportunity to supply editorial content to complement their advertisements, therefore allowing their unique sales points to be promoted.
Distribution of the new magazine will be by direct mail to all leading travel companies in Russia and throughout the GUS countries, at all leading exhibitions and at exclusive distribution points where elite travellers are to be found.
